I SO Want to go to Australia!

Feb 22, 2008 Author: hazel | Filed under: The Goddess Speaks

Great Ocean RoadI SO want to go to Australia! Its on the other side of the world from me and I’ve never been. Of course, the fact that its on the other side of the world is part of the attraction. But doesn’t it look like a great place to go? It’ll take several trips to see everything I want to see there. Considering the length of a flight to Australia I think each trip should be no less than two weeks.

One of the must see places will be The Great Ocean Road. I hear it is one of the most beautiful places on earth. It is certainly one of the most beautiful drives in Australia, if not THE most beautiful. You can get a two week trip that includes The Great Ocean Road through DialaFlight for an extremely reasonable price. The stay in Australia starts in Melbourne for four days which is about the time I’d need to get over jet lag. Then you will have a car in which you can take on the astonishing beauty of the Great Ocean Road. You have a night at Phillip Island, Yarra Valley, Apollo Bay, Port Fairy, Coonawarra, Kangaroo Island for two nights and finally to Adelaide for three nights. The total is fourteen nights in 3 and 4 star accommodations, seven nights of car rentals, three breakfasts, flights and airport transfers. All of that is included in the price for arranging the trip.

That will take care of the first trip. After that there is Sydney, Heron Island and traveling throughout the country. I can see it’ll take several trips. Its a wonderful place to go when its winter here in the northern hemisphere!

Time To Get My Bikini Body Back

Feb 22, 2008 Author: hazel | Filed under: The Goddess Speaks

Spring is coming and I’m heading to San Diego very shortly so I’m wrapping my mind around the fact that I have to get any winter bulges taken care of. That means its time to get my bikini body back because we’ll be spending a lot of time on the beach. As much as I love the beach and love the ocean, I can’t help but think of all the creatures that are lurking in the water, which keeps me from enjoying the water as much as I should. Laying out is great, but that doesn’t necessarily do a thing for a work out and I really have a hard time just laying around. I need to be moving most of the time. Of course, walking on the beach is great and there will definitely be a lot of that!

I like to ride bikes and I like to go to the beach so I’m thinking I’m going to combine the two. I found some lowrider bikes for sale so I’m thinking of getting one of those beach bikes and start getting ready for the trip. I haven’t ever used one before so I’m really looking forward to giving it a try. I’ve heard they are not just a great work-out but are great fun as well. Do any of you have a beach cruiser? How do you like it?

Taking Care of Your Skin Inside and Out

Feb 21, 2008 Author: hazel | Filed under: The Goddess Speaks

I guess we’ve all seen people who use all kinds of expensive products on their skin but don’t take care of their inner health. They often end up with rough looking skin regardless of the amount of money they have spent on skin care products. It seems like common sense to me that beautiful skin, and just beauty, is something that needs to be worked on both within and without. That’s the philosophy of Borba products and it certainly makes a lot of sense to me.

When you combine BORBA Nutraceuticals and BORBA Cosmeceuticals your skin’s inner and outer needs get treated synergistically. Each works with the other so that you end up with the best possible results for maximizing your potential for beautiful skin. All of their products are dermatologist - tested and recommended so you can be assured that you are taking the best care of your skin as well as your inner beauty.

Borba.com has a new blog that is just full of information on the products they offer, expert skin advice as well as on beauty tips. I love the idea of ‘drinkable skin care’ and I saw some gummy bear nutrients over there. The customer reviews say that they are delicious. They are also organic, completely vegetarian and do not use synthetic products. The Clarifying Discovery Kit is probably one of the first steps towards getting the most flawless skin possible. It helps to balance your complexion so that it maintains its youthful glow and health naturally.

Whether you have problem skin or just want to keep you skin at its best, you will find the help you need at Borba’s website and blog. Go check it out.

Oh, and while you’re at the blog you might want to take advantage of their special. Visitors to the site that spend $200 or more get a $25 gift free of charge. You can read the details of this gift here: http://www.borba.com/skincareproducts.aspx.

The Lunch Box Diet

Feb 19, 2008 Author: hazel | Filed under: The Goddess Speaks

The latest buzz in Hollywood on how to keep thin and healthy is The Lunch Box Diet. Its been featured in OK! and Elle magazines, among others. It looks like its on its way to being the latest celebrity diet. I just learned about this recently and I have to tell you it sounds just perfect for someone like me. Grazing is my thing and that’s what this diet is about.

You can download the diet from online and use the recommendations to fill your lunch box for the day. Its recommended that you snack out of the lunch box every hour throughout the day. By doing that you meet your daily dietary needs and stave off hunger and cravings. We all know that small frequent meals are much healthier than stuffing yourself in one big meal. The lunch box helps us do just that so that we aren’t starving at the end of the day and end up eating too much of the wrong things at the worst time of the day.

I can see how this could be a realistic alternative for people who have difficulty sticking to a specific diet. You have the food for the day set out and with the nibbling through out the day you curb your appetite for ‘pigging out’ on foods that aren’t good for you. You lose weight and get healthier to boot.

A Romantic Vacation to Savannah

Feb 15, 2008 Author: hazel | Filed under: The Goddess Speaks

SavannahSavannah is one of the best kept secrets around. I actually shouldn’t be posting about it because I love the fact that Savannah is still a place you can go to and get a real flavor of the place. Its a mixture of the old South, modern art and culture, pirates, islands, cobblestone streets, rivers, ocean, beaches and so very much more. I love Savannah. Its one of my favorite places to go with my husband. We’ve had many trips there. Its a perfect place for a romantic get away.

One of the best things about Savannah is that there are so many things to do in Savannah. Trusted Tours & Attractions helps you plan your vacation there with vacation ideas. They have vacation ideas and deals for many cities. If you go to their Savannah page you will find all the information you need to plan a Savannah River sightseeing cruise or dinner cruise. One of my favorite tours in Savannah is the ghost tour. We took that tour on a cool fall evening and it was just perfect. A city as old and full of history as Savannah has a lot of legends and tales that are sure to put more than a few goose bumps on you.

If ghosts and hauntings aren’t your thing (or even if they are) you might be interested in checking out the African and Southern arts exhibitions at The Jepson Center or a tour of the gardens and gates of Savannah. Its all there and its all part of what makes a fantastic vacation.

Trusted Tours & Attractions helps you with everything with planning your vacation. They give you an overview of all the attractions, list specials and deals that are available, provide information on the city, maps, list hotels, provide photos and even let you know what you can expect from the weather. Right now they are even offering a chance to win a free digital camera when you sign up for their newsletter. Its a Canon PowerShot digital camera that would be just perfect to help you remember the wonderful experience you had in the City of Savannah.

Saving Money and Time Buying Prescriptions Online

Feb 12, 2008 Author: hazel | Filed under: The Goddess Speaks

We spent some time in Europe during December and ran into what I thought was an unusual problem. We had some difficulty getting our prescriptions filled in advance so that we were set for the entire time we were out of the country. Its not like we take a huge number of prescriptions, but we do have a few things that we really need. It was a pain, but we finally got it approved and got the prescriptions literally on the way to the airport. I was sweating there for a while.

Since that trip I have discovered that it really didn’t have to be that difficult. Whether you are on your way out of the country or on a road trip you just can’t always time it so that you are at home to pick up your prescriptions on the exact day that your insurance company tells you its okay to pick it up. Its a real pain. There is an alternative in finding an online pharmacy.

One of the leading online pharmacies is EDrugstore. Not only is it convenient but it is also much less expensive than buying your prescriptions at your corner drug store. All you have to do is send in a medical questionnaire for their doctors to review. Then their pharmacists issue the needed prescriptions that can be mail-ordered or picked up at a local pharmacy. They also offer a great selection of online articles on a wide spectrum of health issues and the opportunity to ask questions of their U.S. licensed doctors online.

Edrugstore.com has been in business for eight years and offers a reliable and realistic alternative for less expensive and more convenient way to get your pharmaceutical needs met.

Alfred Hitchcock

The next issue of Vanity Fair gives a shout out to Alfred Hitchcock’s legendary career in film. They have some fantastic photos of the new Hollywood pretending to be old Hollywood and doing poses representing the films of Hitchcock. There’s Gwyneth Palthrow and Robert Downey, Jr. in To Catch a Thief; Renee Zellweger in Vertigo, Seth Rogan in North by Northwest, Charlize Theron in Dial M for Murder, and Scarlett Johansson and Javier Bardem in Rear Window.

They aren’t the originals, but they aren’t too bad.
