As the investigation into Princess Diana’s death continues, copies of her love letters to Dodi Fayed have been released, according to this story:

In a letter thanking Fayed for a six-day holiday on his yacht in the summer of 1997, Diana wrote: “This comes with all the love in the world and as always a million heartfelt thanks for bringing such joy into this chick’s life.”

Michael Mansfield, a lawyer for Fayed’s father, Mohamed Al Fayed, also produced a letter which the princess sent with a gift of cufflinks.

“Darling Dodi, these cufflinks were the very last gift from the man I loved most in the world, my father,” she wrote.

“They are given to you as I know how much joy it would give him to know they were in such safe and special hands. Fondest love, Diana.”

I think the notes are rather sweet. My god! She gave him cufflinks that were the very last gift from her father. She must’ve really love Dodi.

The inquest into the death of Princess Diana has brought about the release of photos and information to the public that have previously not been available. This inquest is the formal British inquest into her death. British law required that all other inquiries into her death were completed prior to beginning the formal British inquiry. It has been ten years since the death of Princess Diana.

The cameras in the Ritz Hotel in Paris caught photos of Princess Diana and Dode Fayed on August 30, 1997 just hours before they died.

In the car and at the crash site.

I’m no expert, but it looks to me that there is obviously someone in front of the car photographing into the car using a bright flash. It seems reasonable to me that the flashes combined with the driver being intoxicated and the high speeds they were driving are a tragic combination that would inevitably lead to the fatal crash. Look at the pics and see what you think. I’m just sayin’ …..

I watched parts of the Concert for Diana that aired earlier today on what would have been Princess Diana’s 46th birthday. The concert also marked the 10 year anniversary of her death on August 31, 1997.

Diana’s two sons, Princes William and Harry organized this tribute to their mother attended by close to 70,000 at London’s new Wembley Stadium. All of the proceeds from the event will go to Princess Diana’s charities as well as favorite charities of Princes William and Harry.

Included in the star studded event were performances by Rod Stewart, Elton John, Tom Jones, Kanye West, Joss Stone, and Princess Diana’s favorite, Duran Duran. Elton John opened and closed the concert. The Princes addressed the audience at both the beginning and the end of the concert.

There were rumors that Kate Middleton would accompany Prince William to the concert, but I didn’t see her in the crowd of friends surrounding them in the concert. Prince Harry’s longtime girlfriend Chelsy Davy was with him.

At the close, there was a brief video tribute to Diana’s life featuring childhood pictures.

As the British might say, it was brilliant.
