Carla Bruni is just fit to be tied. Well, not literally. Then again, we’d have to ask her hubby, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, about how she feels about being tied - or several of her former boyfriends maybe. Anyway, she’s not happy that an announcement about a nude photo of her being put up for auction was put out the day before she left on an official visit to Britain. Now she’s got to meet the Queen of England with a nude picture of herself all over the internet.

Its not as if there aren’t lots of nudes of Carla Bruni (link NSFW). She’s been a model and done a lot of photo shoots over the years. Still, she’s trying to get some respectability and improve her favorability ratings with the French who haven’t been really happy about her being their First Lady. I thought Europeans didn’t have a problem with nudity!

French President Nicolas Sarkozy has been dating Italian model Carla Bruni and there are rumors they’ve gotten married. The French aren’t at all happy at the prospect of having Bruni as their First Lady. First of all, she’s Italian. Even though she was raised in France, she doesn’t like France and doesn’t mind saying so. She’s been known to say Paris is filthy and she hates being there. Another thing is that President Sarkozy has taken her on all sorts of trips and basically flaunts her in front of the paparazzi. The French think that’s offensive. They don’t like it a bit.

Another thing is that she’s known as a ‘man eater’ and has dated some pretty high profile rock stars and billionaires. She’s been involved in more than one scandal over the years involving her complicated love affairs and some of them are down right low down. Then to top it all off, there are nude photos of her all over the internet. The French are just a mess over the whole thing.

Carla doesn’t seem bothered a bit about the French not liking her. She calls Sarkozy her Napoleon.

For some reason, every time I hear anything about her and how much the French hate her, I expect to hear her say ‘Let them eat cake.’
