Paris is Out of Jail! Paris is Out of Jail!

Jun 26, 2007 Author: hazel | Filed under: Paris Hilton

Paris HiltonParis is out of jail!!! I guess everyone knows that.

She did 23 days in jail, several of those days consisted of one minute. So she was out of jail as of a minute or two after midnight this morning. She stopped in a public restroom to change clothes before doing the paparazzi thing as she left the building.

My goodness, she looks almost demure in the photos.

Once in her parents humble 15 bedroom home, Taco Bell attempted to deliver her favorite cuisine of the moment. But according to TMZ they didn’t get past the front gate. Her publicist came over, as did her hair stylist. She had a pedicure, a manicure and who knows what else.

I think she looks nice in the picture above. Much more genuine.

Jamie Lee CurtisJamie Lee Curtis wrote a note to Kathy Hilton on Huffington Post. She titled it, ‘Mom, It’s Not Right!’. In the article Curtis slams Hilton and others of her generation for not providing parental guidance.

“It was a painful episode to watch,” Curtis writes. “A young woman, begging her mother, the person who should have taught her right from wrong, to help her, to teach her the rules of life. It was a little too late. And so she wept as the Universe was bringing the teaching and settling the score.”

Curtis, who has a daughter, Annie, 20, and a son, Thomas, 11, with husband Christopher Guest, is no stranger to being young in Hollywood: The daughter of actors Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, she made her film debut in 1978’s Halloween at age 20. (She’s also Jake Gyllenhaal’s godmother.)

But she says today’s celebs are lacking guidance: “The sad paths of the three most popular young women” – Hilton and, presumably, Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears – “have ended in prison, rehab and mental illness. I hope their mothers are worried sick and wondering, ‘What could I have done differently?’ And our culture should be asking the same question too.”

Parents her age, she says, are more concerned with being friends with their kids than teaching them important lessons. “We were the generation who applauded every move they made. Every step they took. ‘Good climbing, Brandon’ was our hue and cry. We were raised by people who didn’t ‘understand’ us and now we don’t ‘understand’ why our children are so messed up.”

She concludes: “Can we take the wrenching sight of Paris asking her mother, ‘why?’ and ask it of ourselves? … Wake up, Mothers, and smell the denial.”

Woah! I couldn’t have said it better myself. Well, maybe I could have, but she makes a good point. There does seem to be an entire generation of narcissists who have no idea what it means to take responsible for their own actions much less to take responsibility for their impact on society.

Our children have plenty of friends. What they need from their parents is parenting. Even if they don’t like you for it at the moment, they will love you for it when they are grown.

Rock on, Jamie!

Hazel, we are just going to have to disagree about Paris. When I read that she cried for her mother, I felt sorry for her. Despite any material wealth and social status, we all need our mothers sometimes. At least that’s the way I see it. See ya!

Jake Byrd Covers Paris Hilton

Jun 12, 2007 Author: hazel | Filed under: Paris Hilton

Did you see Jake Byrd at the live press conferences during the recent national obsession over the arrest of Paris Hilton? I remember that Shep Smith got irritated at him during the news conference. HAHAHAHA

The video is of Jake’s appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Show.

Of course, Jake Byrd is a character played by Tony Barbieri on the Jimmy Kimmel Show.

Paris Hilton in Jail

Jun 9, 2007 Author: hazel | Filed under: Absurd Hollywood, Paris Hilton

Apparently, Adeline and I have our first disagreement. Well, it’s bound to happen eventually. She thinks Paris has been treated harshly, I think Paris got plenty of breaks and now has to pay the piper.

Adeline, she broke her probation 3 times!!! Don’t you think if you had had your license suspended, driven on a suspended license, then got probation and still got caught driving again, then showed up late for court on your violation of probation, then you and your whole family talked to everyone about how you shouldn’t be held to the same standards as other people, that you might find yourself doing some time?

She made it worse by trying to play the system. She’d never have been put in jail if she had just had her driver drive her around while her license was suspended. Or if she had done her time on probation. Even if she had showed up in court for the probation hearing. She flipped off the judge and the law and now the court system is teaching her what her parents never did.

Regardless, hope you enjoy the video. It’s from Parisinjail.com via Hillbilly White Trash.

I don’t know, Hillbilly White Trash just seemed appropriate for the subject matter for this video!

Paris Hilton - The Price of Fame

Jun 8, 2007 Author: adeline | Filed under: Absurd Hollywood, Paris Hilton

Hiya Hazel,

I hate to disagree with you - but I feel sorry for Paris Hilton, and I think the judge gave her the harsh sentence because of Paris’ celebrity. He wanted to make an example of her. If she’d been some poor nobody, she would have paid a fine and/or done community service, and that would have been it.

Plus I think it’s wrong for the sheriff to release her from jail, and then for the judge to say “Nope - sorry. You have to go back.” I’ve stayed away from the chaotic scene of the news coverage, but I’d be willing to bet that the judge is a short man. He’s bound to be someone who is out to prove his manhood by showing his power over a celebrity. I guess that’s the only way he can feel good about himself.

I agree with Paris - it isn’t right.

Catch you later,

Paris Hilton Cries her way Out Of Jail

Jun 7, 2007 Author: hazel | Filed under: Absurd Hollywood, Paris Hilton

Paris HiltonParis was released from jail early this morning for unspecified health reasons. The general consensus is that she was crying a lot. Well, I suppose most everyone there cries a lot. If they don’t it’s just cause they don’t want to get beat up.

She got a celebrity psychiatrist to tell the sheriff she couldn’t handle the confinement. In fairness, she WAS in solitary confinement which is pretty awful - so I’ve been told.

The sheriff approved her ‘reassignment’ to being on house arrest with an ankle bracelet without getting approval from the district attorney or the judge in the case. THAT made them made.

Now they are demanding a hearing tomorrow morning to determine whether or not she should be remanded BACK to the Los Angeles County detention center to complete her sentence.

Right Celebrity says show her no mercy - send her back!

Send her back! Paris should not be allowed to bawl and while her way out of this! My sympathies to the jail personnel should she be ordered back, but they are doing the world (and the justice system) a good deed!

Blue Star Chronicles thinks she might end up doing more time for working this SHAM!

Paris is Preparing for Jail

Jun 3, 2007 Author: hazel | Filed under: Absurd Hollywood, Paris Hilton, When Life Sucks

Paris HiltonThe clock is ticking down for playgirl Paris Hilton. I could just say ‘Paris’. She seems to be one of those people that can have just one name like ‘Cher’.

After her initial frantic attempts to use her money and influence to sidestep having to obey the law, she seems to have come to terms with her fate. She is preparing for her less than a month stint in jail.

She’s working on her spirituality by going to church regularly and liking it.

“I did have a choice to go to a pay jail,” Hilton said.

“But I declined because I feel like the media portrays me in a way that I’m not and that’s why I wanted to go to county, to show that I can do it and I’m going to be treated like everyone else.

“I’m going to do the time - I’m going to do it the right way.

“I hope that this can be an example to other young people in the decisions they make and use it as something positive.”

In addition to church, she is practicing for jail while partying with her sister and friends. They are teaching her about how to protect herself by acting crazy and about how to - how should I put this - get along with the other women in the jail. If you know what I mean.

She will spend Monday getting a complete ‘going-to-jail’ makeover. I guess it’s like a friend of mine says, it doesn’t matter what you do as long as you look good doing it.

While Paris is primping and preparing for her jail time, the other inmates in the jail are already getting angry about Paris’ pending arrival. According to one former inmate, the other women feel they are having to give up more so that special arrangements can be made for Paris in the already over crowded jail. This former inmate says Paris needs to keep her mouth shut, behave and do her time.

Paris is doing her part, the inmates are doing their part, so what about Paris’ other half, the media? WELL, they are doing their part as well. They are preparing for her perp walk as though it was the Oscars. Some are already camped out in front of the jail for the opportunity to snap those last few pics before she drops into a black hole for 23 days.

I actually do feel sorry for the girl. She’s never had to pay the piper in her life so this has to be a major shock for her. Her statement makes her sound like she might actually be learning something from it. The truth of that will be evident if she’s still got a better attitude and spirituality on the other end of her incarceration.

Lindsay Lohan sexyThe Australian

ACTRESS Lindsay Lohan has been ordered to appear in court for driving under the influence after losing control of her Mercedes convertible, the Beverly Hills Police Department said.
Lohan was involved in a single-car traffic accident at about 5:30 am, and was cited (ordered to appear in court) after being admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries, Sergeant Mike Foxen said.

He said Lohan was not taken into custody. Sgt Foxen also said he did not know if Lohan was still in the hospital, which he declined to name.

The actress, who underwent a stint in rehab earlier this year, was given a citation and a court date, Foxen said, adding that he did not know the date.

Representatives of the actress could not be immediately reached for comment.

Lohan, 20, shot to stardom in Disney movies like The Parent Trap and Freaky Friday, and as her fame grew, so did persistent hounding from the paparazzi, especially after she became well known for club hopping in Los Angeles.

In July last year, the producer of Georgia Rule, wrote a letter to Lohan in which he called her behavior “discourteous, irresponsible and unprofessional” because she was showing up late to the movie’s set.

Georgia Rule, in which Lohan portrays a troubled young woman, opened earlier this month.

The hollywood brats need to get off the road. How many does that make who have gotten DUIs now? What is it with these chicks and driving drunk??

Paris HiltonWe know they have had too much, too young and don’t have a clue about taking responsibility for their actions. But how hard is it for them to hire a driver?? They can afford it.

I wonder if Lohan will end up rooming with Hilton?

Do we care?

I didn’t think so.

UPDATE: From TMZ - a ‘usable amount’ of cocaine was found at the scene of the accident. More at TMZ
