Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton has put her 1926 Spanish-style home on the market with an asking price of $4.25 million.

Selling her home comes just a month after her neighbors circulated a letter throughout the neighborhood advising residents to call the police about the noise and traffic created by paparazzi trying to get a photo of her being taken to jail. Or coming out of jail. Or being taken back again or being out again.

She bought the house in 2004 for $3 million, is using her uncle as her representative in the transaction and therefore won’t have to pay the usual 6% agent fee. Seems to me she might be a pretty good businesswoman in her own right.

Maybe Paris Hilton Isn’t Disinherited After All

Jul 30, 2007 Author: hazel | Filed under: Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton

It’s now being reported that Paris’ grandfather is NOT disinheriting her.

I know. It’s confusing!

Most of the reports I read referred to Paris’ grandfather, Barron Hilton. However, several referred to her great-grandfather, Conrad Hilton as the one who disinherited his great-grandchildren. The general idea was that Conrad (hope he doesn’t mind me calling him Conrad), didn’t like the idea of his progeny getting all that money and not having to work for it like he did so he cut them off. He was especially embarrassed by Paris’ antics and that was the last straw.

Now that that news is all over the internet, her grandfather, Barron (hope he doesn’t mind me calling him Barron - it just makes it easier to differentiate between who is who), is saying the reports are inaccurate.

Sydney’s Daily Telegraph newspaper reported that the Barron Hilton, the last remaining Hilton with a large share in the hotel chain, was so humiliated by her wild ways and drink-driving charge that he cut her inheritance by $60 million. However, Barron believes he has been misrepresented.

“Barron Hilton (Paris’s grandfather) was contacted and said the characterization of his feelings towards Paris or his will are inaccurate,” a spokesperson for the hotel heiress told FOXNews.com.

While no comment was made regarding whether his will has been changed, a spokesperson for the “Simple Life” sensation said Paris’s relationship with her grandfather remains strong.

“Paris said that when she was in jail she had a lot of time to reflect on what’s important,” added the rep. “She intends to devote more of her time to charity work and helping those in need and that is what she has been doing.”

She actually has laid a little lower since she’s been released from prison. Laying low may not have been a good choice of words. How about, she hasn’t been revealing herself as much in public … no, that’s not right either. She has been as exposed to the media … geezzz this is hard. Whoops, messup again. Let’s just say, she’s been a little more subdued since her time in the big house.

Actually, she could do a lot for her image and the image of the Hilton clan, not to mention actually contribute to the world in a positive way, if she does mature into a philanthropist. She could use her celebrity and her fortune to make a real difference in the world.

I truly hope she does chose that path.

Either way, she won’t be flipping hamburgers to make ends meet. Unless, of course, it’s on an episode of ‘The Simple Life’.

Paris Hilton Loses Inheritance

Jul 30, 2007 Author: hazel | Filed under: Paris Hilton

Paris HiltonParis is having a very bad year. It seems her partying ways have caught up with her in just about every way they can.

Paris’ great-grandfather, Head Hilton Conrad Hilton, has had it with the Hilton name being associated with scandal and spread all over the gossip rages. He’s probably had it with having to see his granddaughter private parts every time he opens a magazine as well! So he’s cut her off.

He has announced that he’s giving her inheritance to charity. The Hilton Foundation of course.

“Barron has been forced to stomach his granddaughter’s porn tape floated on the world web as well as her seeing her kicking and screaming out of a court house [and] into the slammer for drink driving,” said Jerry Oppenheimer, writer of ‘House of Hilton’.

He’s the Hilton that worked and built the Hilton estimated 2.5 billion fortune and apparently doesn’t want it given to his spoiled brood that haven’t contributed to the family wealth. He’s cut all the great-grandchildren out. That should make Paris pretty unpopular at the next family reunion. That’s about 60 million each will be short in their respective inheritances.

Don’t worry about Paris though. She claims to have made a sizable amount of money herself with her various escapades. Her grandfather, Barron Hilton, has about $1 billion and her father, Rick Hilton is a successful businessman in his own right and stands to inherit $125 million from his father.

I think, all in all, Paris will still not have to wash dishes for a living.

Paris Hilton has a Nip Slip

Jul 16, 2007 Author: hazel | Filed under: Paris Hilton

What is it with nip slips today? First there was Ashley Tisdale and now there’s Paris Hilton.

Apparently, Paris was trying to get on her surf board when she slipped, then her top slipped. Well, she doesn’t look that upset about it. A little later she was happily sticking her tongue out at her new little bitty dog and much more demure in her bathing suit cover.

It seems like every time I turn around Paris Hilton has a new BFF. She goes through them like, well, I don’t know like what. Her latest is rumored to be non other than Kelly Clarkson, pictured below leaving Koi where she was with Paris.

They say Kelly is using Paris to boost her record sales after her falling out with Clive Davis and the cancellation of her tour.

It just seems like an odd couple to me. The question remains, has Kelly decided to join the bad-girl club or is Paris trying to redeem herself by choosing more mature friends?

Nicole Richie: Plea deal possible?

Jul 10, 2007 Author: adeline | Filed under: Nicole Richie, Paris Hilton

It seems that Nicole Richie might be on her way to getting a much better deal than her pal, Paris Hilton.

Nicole Richie

Plea Deal Possible in Richie DUI Case
By GREG RISLING,AP
LOS ANGELES (AP) - Nicole Richie will have to decide Wednesday whether to accept a plea deal offered by prosecutors in her driving-under-the-influence case, according to a court spokesman.

Richie was not required to attend the court hearing because she faces a misdemeanor charge. . . .

Terms of the deal were not made available and the district attorney’s office declined to comment. . . .

Richie, 25, was arrested early on Dec. 11 after witnesses reported seeing her SUV headed the wrong way on a freeway in Burbank. She allegedly failed a field sobriety test and authorities said she told them she had smoked marijuana and taken a prescription painkiller. No drugs were found on her or in the vehicle.

She pleaded not guilty in February to misdemeanor driving under the influence.

In addition to the single count, the case contains an allegation that Richie had a prior misdemeanor DUI conviction in June 2003.

The California Vehicle Code says that if convicted of DUI twice within 10 years, a person can be sentenced to between 90 days and a year in jail and have driving privileges suspended.

Her legal problems come amid reports that she is pregnant. Her publicist has not answered repeated telephone and e-mail messages from The Associated Press. Her case also comes on the heels of Paris Hilton’s June 26 release from jail. Hilton, Richie’s partying pal and co-star in TV’s “The Simple Life,” spent about 23 days in custody for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.

Hilton’s case drew a firestorm of criticism, with some saying she received preferential treatment when she was initially given an early release to home confinement and others arguing the judge was too harsh and made Hilton an example by sending her to jail.

Some observers believe Richie could help herself by attending the trial. She also might want to avoid being late to court hearings - like Hilton was once.

“Anything that appears humble before the court is wise,” said Hollywood publicist Michael Levine. “I think there’s a backlash afoot because of the Hilton trial and anything to nullify it would be a good idea.”

Others believe Lubell will be unmoved by what happened in Hilton’s case and will follow the law accordingly.

“I think it’s going to be in the back of his mind,” said defense attorney Mark Geragos, who has represented Winona Ryder and Michael Jackson. “But if it’s a second DUI offense, it usually carries a mandatory amount of jail time.”

Guess we’ll see how she fares with the legal system. I wonder if she’ll cry for her mommy if she’s put in jail?

Paris Hilton Pink PhoneBetween 2 and 4 a.m. on weekends, UCLA student Shira Barlow’s cell phone rings off the hook with calls and text messages. The messages ranged from happy birthday wishes to requests to be included on guest lists.

For the longest time Shira didn’t know why she was getting so many wrong numbers.

“Baby girl, how are you?” a man purred in a foreign accent.

“Why are you doing this?” one woman asked. “This is so rude.”

At first Barlow, a junior communications major, thought the random references to “Paris” were some kind of nickname.

“I didn’t make the connection,” Barlow said.

It all started on Valentine’s Day when Barlow put her phone in her back pocket while on a night out with friends. At some point during the night the phone fell into a toilet. When she went to replace the phone she was assigned a new number because of area code changes.

And so Shira’s big Paris Hilton adventure began.

Just after Barlow got her new phone, a flurry of calls and text messages came within days of Hilton’s Feb. 17 birthday.

“Oh my God,” a caller said. “Where’s the party?”

One weekend, Barlow said she answered a call and was lectured by an unidentified woman who got angry when asked if she was calling from Florida.

“I’m so insulted. You must be on drugs,” the woman said before calling back five times to lecture Barlow.

Another time, she had a long conversation with an aspiring rap artist who, after learning he was not talking with Hilton, still invited Barlow to a party.

Then came the day Hilton went to court for violating probation after pleading no contest to an alcohol-related reckless driving charge, and was sentenced to jail.

Calls and texts that previously inquired about parties were replaced by dozens expressing their condolences.

“People were scared for her,” Barlow said.

The phone traffic trailed off when Hilton entered jail last month. But since Hilton was recently released, a new crop of communiqués is flooding Barlow’s telephone.

There was Hilton’s former bodyguard who sent his love. A girlfriend called to commiserate and lend support, as did many text messages.

“It’s disgusting how they treated you in there, but once again you have showed the world that you can do anything,” one wrote.

Barlow said she has resisted the temptation to pose as Hilton to get herself and friends on the guest list of exclusive parties.

But she did message supporters “thanks so much,” believing Hilton would appreciate it.

Barlow plans to keep the number because she says it has been a greater source of amusement than a hassle.

“It was really out of convenience,” she added. “I didn’t want to switch again.”

There’s no telling where all this will take Shira. Anything can happen!
