Portia is the real life lover of Ellen de Generes. Ellen encouraged Portia to take the role but there are rumors that she’s been a little jealous of the chemistry between Portia and Joely. Joely says she was perfectly comfortable doing the lesbian scenes but Portia was a little nervous. Joely says that lesbians turn men on.

Nip/Tuck actress Joely Richardson shocked onlookers last night at when she walked the red carpet at a Cartier party at the Natural History Museum in London. Her backless dress exposed her protruding bones and super thin arms. Her skeletal frame is attributed to her working in the United States while her 15-year-old daughter, who has a rare circulatory disease, remains in Britain.

But after all she is best known for her role as a plastic surgeon’s unfaithful wife on the hit series Nip/Tuck. Vanessa Redgrave, who is her mother in real-life, also played her mom on Nip/Tuck. She dated her costar John Hensley briefly who starred as her son on the show.

Joely Richardson has been divorced from film producer Tim Bevan, she has a daughter, Daisy, who was born in 1992. She shortly left the series Nip/Tuck in November 2006 to take care of her daughter who got sick, but later returned to the series.
