You’ve come to the right place.
Divine Brown is in England talking about her brief encounter with Hugh Grant …. again. Apparently, a documentary is being made about how that encounter changed Ms. Brown’s life.
You might remember the scandal that rocked Hugh Grant’s life at the height of his career in 1995. He had a dalliance with then prostitute Divine Brown, her real name is Stella Marie Thompson, in his car one night which was infamously interrupted by the police. Apparently, he didn’t have enough money on him for a hotel room and settled for an in-car meeting with Divine. They attracted the attention of the police because he kept hitting the brake pedal causing the lights to flash on and off. How humiliating!
That interruption didn’t do Hugh’s career one bit of good and ended his long-time relationship with Elizabeth Hurley. It also changed Divine’s life and she’s thrilled about it. Her moments with Hugh Grant have made all the difference for her. It sounds like it was better than hitting the lottery. She has earned millions of dollars by telling her story which enabled her to quit her former career, put her kids through private schools and buy a four bedroom house.
She said she used the opportunity to earn as much money as she could, with the full support of her former manager - he refuses to be called a pimp - “Gangsta” Brown, also known as Alvin Brown.
“I love Hugh Grant. Hugh Grant put my kids through school, gave us a chance of the life we probably would’ve never reached,” Gangsta said.
“We had a chance to travel on private jets. If I can meet him and shake his hand all I would like to say is: ‘Thank you. I appreciate you, and if there is anything I can do in return I would love to be a friend’.”
I’m sure Hugh is very happy for her and her ‘manager’.
