Ya think?

This is just great. I love it when we have someone new to write about. How many times can you post pictures of Britney flashing the paparazzi before it gets to be boring? I think the answer to that is that it got boring, like, immediately. Now we get to post pictures of Owen Wilson’s current friend as she walks around the beaches of Hawaii … without Owen.

Everybody keeps referring to her as a supermodel, but the only thing I tell that makes her a supermodel is that is what she calls herself. She also doesn’t look 25, which is how old she says she is. But maybe that’s just me.

Earlier we got to see pictures of Le Call in a blue bikini, now she’s in a green one. Maybe tomorrow she’ll be in a red one. I suppose eventually it’ll get as boring as seeing Britney’s crotch. But for now we are going with it.

But he said to me, “If we didn’t cover cultural things, we wouldn’t be covering you and The Mist, and promoting the movie.” And I’m like, “Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan aren’t cultural.” They aren’t political. They’re economic only in the mildest sense of the word. In fact, if I had to pick somebody, some celebrity who has had some impact this year, some sort of echo in the larger American life, I would say Hannah Montana. That whole issue of online ticket sales and scalping fascinates me. There are [legitimate] issues there about the Internet, so that actually does seem to have some cultural significance. But Britney? Britney Spears is just trailer trash. That’s all. I mean, I don’t mean to be pejorative. But you observe her behavior for the past five years and you say, “Here’s a lady who can’t take care of her kids, she can’t take care of herself, she has no retirement fund, everything that she gets runs right through her hands.” And yet, you know and I know that if you go to those sites that tell you what the most blogged-about things on the Internet are, it’s Britney, it’s Lindsay. So I think it would be terrific [to have them as TIME Persons of the Year]. There would be such a scream from the American reading public, sure. But at the same time, it’s time for somebody to discuss the difference between real news and fake news.”

When I first heard Le Call’s name I kept wanting to know what her first name was. Well, what can I say, I didn’t know. It turns out her name is the shortened version of LeAnn Kay Call. She is Owen Wilson’s new girlfriend. I guess that means he’s not dating Jessica Simpson anymore.

I’ve been reading about Le Call and it sounds like she might not be the nicest person out there. In fact, what I’ve read is downright nas-tee. Right Celebrity has the scoop on Le Call and some more photos.

The nicest thing someone, who claims to know her, said, “She has never failed to be rude, insulting, and difficult to work with. Oh, and just to be snarky, she’s 30 and still has the worst skin I have ever seen, i mean acne, scars, wrinkles, ew.” Wow. There wasn’t one person who had anything nice to say about her. There were even some commenters who went so far to say that Call was nothing more than a high priced call girl in New York City and that’s probably how Owen met her.

Maybe she’s misunderstood. Maybe she’s good for Owen. Maybe he’s trying to rescue her. Maybe she’s just had a tough life and will be a wonderful person when things get easier for her. Or maybe she’s just a mega-bitch. We are feeling protective of Owen these days and want to check this sh*t out!
