This is a photo of Angelina Jolie on the set of The Changeling this week. She is still claiming that her weight loss is due to grief over her mother’s death, her demanding schedule and raising so many kids. Oh, and the fact she can’t cook. The thing is that she looks and sounds like someone with anorexia. Her veins look like someone who is working out too much (think Madonna’s hands!).

Think about it. This is a woman that has a history of not being the most stable person in the world. Then she is suddenly transformed into sainthood. She gallivants all over the world doing good deeds, adopting kids and looking for all the world like someone who has a happy family and has her act together. All that unstable-ness has to go somewhere. I’m thinking she’s turned it into an eating disorder.

I don’t know. Its just what I think.

I love Christmas lights and these lights are especially cool. The lights in the photo above are LED lighting that are sold by an ecommerce company. I generally use mini lights on my Christmas tree and I think these LED mini lights are even better! They are great to use for a lot of reasons. For one they use 90% less energy than standard incandescent lights that we generally use. That makes them a lot less expensive to use, not to mention they don’t have as big an impact on our environment. They are also safer to use because they don’t get hot to the touch. They stay at room temperature. Every year we hear about a Christmas tree catching on fire. These LED Christmas lights just simply won’t do that!

Other advantages to using LED holiday lighting are that they last longer. They have an operating life of more than 50,000 hours. When you consider that the lights we are accustomed to using last an average of 2,000 hours you can easily see what a huge savings that is. In fact, they last so long that many people never have to replace them.

LED holiday lights are encased in hard plastic and have no filament that makes them almost indestructible. There is nothing I hate more than breaking Christmas lights and having that fine, thin glass all over everything!

Britney Spears is crazy as a loon. That’s just my opinion, of course, but the girl doesn’t even bother to bathe or wear clean clothes. She knows she’s going to be photographed where ever she goes and still she sees just how skanky she can look when she’s out.

The photos of the real Britney don’t even resemble the promotional photos. There has to be body doubles, seriously talented photoshoppers and Lord only knows what else to make her look like a normal 25-year-old.

Doesn’t she have anybody who can take her and throw her in a shower to clean her up? Can’t somebody force her to take anti-psychotic meds? Something? Someone?

I hate having to take out loans. I think most people do. But we know that in this world most of us have to take out a loan once in a while. If nothing else we have our Mortgage Loans and car loans.

I was just looking at a website about loans and found it interesting to learn a little more about the reasons people do and don’t get approved for loans. For instance, I was reading about why people take out a cash advance on their paychecks. Fortunately, I’ve never been tempted to do this. The site advises to look to other options before taking out this kind of loan as you could end up getting into a situation that would take you months or years to get caught up financially. They give some good advice on alternatives that could save you the heartache of spending your paycheck before you get it. Even worse, you are spending your paycheck plus interest before you get it. It could end up in a vicious cycle that is hard to get out of.

The last time I took out a loan was when we got a refinance on our house to lower the interest rate. That should only be considered when the interest rate is low enough that it balances out the points and closing costs you will incur in refinancing. The rule of thumb is that the interest rate needs to be at least 2 points lower than the interest rate you are already paying for it to be financially beneficial to refinance.
