They Are Having Too Much Sex on The BBC Drama The Tudors

The Brits are not at all happy with the way medieval Britain is being portrayed in the BBC Drama The Tudors. They are having entirely too much sex!

The American made drama about the Tudors (obviously!) is porn-style pseudo-historical and not at all accurate. Everybody is having sex with every body.

Never mind that pretty much nothing is accurate in the portrayals. Henry VII was not a brooding slender dark haired man. The carriages they use in the show hadn’t been invented in the 1500s. Neither had the radiators that are in the scenes. They also didn’t have paved roads. But in this show, they had all those things and more. Plus, they had sex with everybody, everywhere.

I get their point. That’s all some people will ever know about the Tudors. Some people take these shows as fact, regardless of what anyone says. I get it, k?

What I take exception to is the Brits calling it the ‘Americanization’ of history. They call it ‘dumbing down’ for an American audience. Thanks a lot cousins! Hrumpt. They say that as though its a bad thing!

I love History and I am an American. I did not like the way this series was done either. Rome also had too much sex! I also speak for many Americans. Many Americans did not like the series either. The makers in their way were trying to update it to see if they can attract younger viewers. They also believe that having so much sex is more of an art form. I like how they did movies years ago with Elizabeth(1998), Anne of the Thousand Days and other films of that period. I hope they go back to the way they used to do movies. There are too many people making movies today with political statements as well as tring to create controversy. It is terrible how they really distort the facts to be more politcally correct in some ways. I do not like the new approaches to making these films. Remember, these are all experimental films. I hope they go back to the way they do films. Closer to the correct way than this garbage they are making now. I hope one day they get the message. They’re not only doing it in America but also in England. Once were were known for our Puritanical past that we got from our English cousins but since they late 60’s early 70’s, they have been slowly eroding the morals as well as the facts of many television shows and movies especially in the past 10 years. I hope this madness stops of the political correctness. I do not want this new world of cinema!
