Dog the Bounty Hunter

There is an unconfirmed report that Mexico has dropped all charges against Duane Chapman, otherwise known as Dog the Bounty Hunter, his ‘brother’, Tim Chapman (they aren’t really kin, but they have the same last name and call each other brother), and his son Leland. The three Chapmans were charged and briefly imprisoned in Puerto Vallarta in 2003 for ‘deprivation of liberty’ following their arrest of serial rapist and United States fugitive, Andrew Luster.

The Chapmans have been fighting the charges and extradition to Mexico every since. There has been no certainty as to whether or not Chapman was going to be able to stay out of a Mexican jail in spite of hundreds of thousands of dollars he has paid Mexican authorities for various fines.

The fugitive Dog brought to justice was cosmetic heir Andrew Luster who is now serving 124 years for his crimes in the United States.

TMZ is still translating the legal documents that are believed to be the official documents dropping the charges against Dog and his crew. TMZ states the documents have not been fully translated because nosotros hablamos espanol only a little.

Dog, through his publicist, told TMZ, “Viva La Mexico!”
