The toxicology report is in for Chris Benoit, WWE wrestler who killed his wife, child and himself last month.

DECATUR, Ga. — Investigators said Tuesday they found steroids and other drugs in the body of pro wrestler Chris Benoit, who killed his wife and young son last month before hanging himself in the family’s home.

Besides steroids, Benoit’s body contained the anti-anxiety drug Xanax and the painkiller hydrocodone, according to a statement from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. The GBI said Benoit tested negative for blood alcohol.

Benoit’s wife, Nancy, tested positive for Xanax, hydrocodone and the painkiller hydromorphone.

The son, Daniel Benoit, had Xanax in his system, the agency said. The GBI said it could not perform tests for steroids or human growth hormones on the son because of a lack of urine.

None of this comes as any big surprise. I found it suspicious when the WWE claimed he had clean drug screens. Drug screens are easy to beat if you are a good addict. Especially if the organization taking the drug screen isn’t anxious to find any drugs in your system.

Dr. Phil Astin, Benoit’s personal physician and friend, has been charged with improperly prescribing drugs to other patients. He has been in trouble before for the same prescribing habits. His office has been raided several times by investigators who have seized his medical records. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.

The WWE has vehemently denied claims that steroid use is the norm for that organization. All you have to do is look at Benoit to tell he is, was, a steroid user. The same is true for many in the spot light of the sports world.

So who is at fault? Is it the drugs fault or Benoit’s for taking the drugs? Is it the fault of the doctor who prescribed the drugs? Is it the fault of the WWE that encourages unnatural strength and then tells it’s athletes to not take steroids with a wink and a nod? Or is it the public that demand more and more violence, strength and endurance to be entertained?

Or is it just a perfect storm of all of the above?

What is it with nip slips today? First there was Ashley Tisdale and now there’s Paris Hilton.

Apparently, Paris was trying to get on her surf board when she slipped, then her top slipped. Well, she doesn’t look that upset about it. A little later she was happily sticking her tongue out at her new little bitty dog and much more demure in her bathing suit cover.

Mel Gibson has bought himself a multi-million dollar mansion in Costa Rica. He was welcomed to the country by President Arias and is said to be planning charitable contributions to the native Costa Ricans.

From the looks of it, he’s already making sizable contributions to the economy there. He’s certainly enjoying the company of the local señoras. He also looks like he’s muy borracho.

As a matter of fact the picture below reminds me of the photos of him in a bar before he was arrested for drunk driving and went into an anti-Semitic tirade last July.

Apparently, he didn’t learn much from that embarrassing episode. He’s just moved his drunken episodes in another country. It’s really terribly sad, isn’t it? What a waste.

“The Apprentice” will happen again, but this time it will have a twist. This time celebrities will be the contestants. Here’s the story from AOL News:

Celebs to Compete on Revived ‘Apprentice’

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (July 16) - Check your publicist at the boardroom door - NBC is inviting celebrities to try to wow Donald Trump in the next version of “The Apprentice.”

And while it would make for a marquee matchup, don’t expect Rosie O’Donnell to be among them

It will never happen in this lifetime or beyond,” said Cindi Berger, O’Donnell’s spokeswoman.

The network announced Monday that the game show will be back in the middle of next season with the celebrity twist, the winner donating proceeds to charity instead of going to work for The Donald.

NBC had canceled “The Apprentice” due to low ratings when it announced its next season schedule in May. But the network hired Ben Silverman as its new entertainment chief shortly thereafter, and he called on Trump and executive producer Mark Burnett to revive the show.

No contestants were named in NBC’s announcement. The network said it was looking for people with entreprenurial abilities in the areas of sports, entertainment and fashion.

Which, of course, raised the question of O’Donnell, Trump’s nemesis, maybe getting involved.

“It would be great to have Rosie on `The Apprentice,”‘ Silverman said at a morning Television Critics Association news conference. “Donald personally told me to extend an invitation to her.”

NBC entertainment co-chairman Marc Graboff echoed Silverman’s comment, saying “we’d love her” to be on the show.

O’Donnell’s spokeswoman, however, quickly put a freeze on the idea. She did confirm, though, that the former talk host and “The View” panelist was in talks with NBC about other projects.

I never understood the whole tattoo thing. I change my hair color and style on a regular basis because I get tired of it. What happens when you get tired of the tattoo? That’s what I don’t understand. It’s PERMANENT.

Obviously, I’m the odd person out with that way of thinking.

The worst is getting your current lovers name tattooed on your body. WHAT ARE PEOPLE THINKING! Well, when the loves gone, the name is still permanently embedded in your skin. I have a sneaking feeling any new lovers will not like that one little bit. Not to mention, every time you see the tattoo it will remind you of the *mistake*!!!

Pamela Anderson’s ‘Tommy’ tattoo became ‘Mommy’. That was an easy one to solve. I wonder if she’ll have it changed back now that there are rumors they are reuniting.

Carmen Electra had her wedding date to David Navarro tattooed on her wrist, she’s just changing dates.

David Navarro had his wedding date to Carmen Electra tattooed to his chest. He’s leaving it saying it’s a part of his history.

Angelina Jolie had Billy Bob Thornton scrubbed off and replaced him with the birthplaces of her children. I wonder what she did with the vial of his blood?

Saturday night Lindsay Lohan is photographed partying at Pure Nightclub in Las Vegas.

People Magazine has an exclusive interview with Lindsay Lohan’s rep, Leslie Sloane. Sloane commented on Lohan’s successful six weeks treatment at Promises.

“On Friday, July 13, 2007, Lindsay Lohan successfully completed her 45 days of residential and extended care treatment at Promises. She has transitioned to an intensive outpatient program, which includes attendance at daily AA meetings, outpatient therapy and daily testing. On her own, she has also made the decision in support of her sobriety to wear an alcohol monitoring bracelet. In part she is wearing the bracelet so there are no questions about her sobriety if she chooses to go dancing or dining in a place where alcohol is served.”

On Saturday night, Lindsay and some friends went partying at Pure Nightclub in Las Vegas. Lindsay drank an energy drink seemed to enjoy her night out of Rehab.

KYTX-TV, a Tyler, Texas CBS affiliate has come up with an inventive way to increase their ratings. They are doing a reality TV show that deals with turning a bikini model into an anchorwoman. The show, entitled ‘Anchorwoman’ oddly enough, will begin airing in late August.

The show will follow Lauren Jones’ every move as she learns the ropes and transforms from bikini model to news anchor. Whether or not it’s a successful transformation is the point of the show.

The station has come under attack for selling out and undermining the integrity of the news industry by using a beautiful woman with no journalism experience whatsoever to do the news. These attacks are made with straight faces too. As if beautiful people (male and female) reading news is an unheard of concept. A few examples. here, There’s even a list where you can vote on which news anchor you think is sexiest.

Suppose she ends up not only raising the ratings of KYTX-TV but doing a good job of reading the teleprompters. Even worse, what if she does just as good or better a job of it as those who make millions for their reading teleprompter skills. OH MY!

That is what they are really afraid of.

Lauren Jones is an actress and magazine cover model. Jones, a Miss New York USA beauty queen finalist, Homecoming Queen and Cheerleader, appeared on the soap opera Guiding Light and in the June 2005 issue of Maxim magazine.
