Kim Kardashian has learned a lot from her BFF Paris Hilton and seems to be continuing to follow in her footsteps. Only this time she might be a step ahead of Paris. She recently did a shoot for Playboy that will be featured in Playboy in September.

Kim became well-known to the tabloids last year when a stolen sex tape of herself with her then boyfriend Ray J was leaked online. Same thing happened with her BFF Paris! The sex tape was supposed to released on DVD by Vivid Entertainment with the title ‘Kim Kardashian Superstar, until Kim filed a lawsuit to stop the release. Kim settled for $5 million.

Kim is not fully nude in the Playboy photos. That leaves one to wonder why she is suddenly feeling modest. It’s not like there’s anything the world hasn’t already seen.

Haven’t Paul McCartney and Heather Mills been divorcing forever? I guess with that kind of money it takes forever. I thought it was a little odd that someone like Paul McCartney who has been extremely wealthy most of his life would marry and have a child with someone so quickly after the death of his long-time wife, Linda. Maybe it’s the fact he had a long-term happy marriage that set him up to expect another one. I suppose if that was the case, he was bitterly disappointed.

After a very contentious, nasty separation and divorce, McCartney and Mills have settled for a records amount. Mills will receive almost 70 million (pounds). That makes it the largest and most expensive split in British legal history.

Heather is to get a lump sum of 15 million (pounds - I don’t have one of the pound symbols on my computer). She’ll ten get an extra 3.5 million (pounds) every year until their daughter Beatrice’s 18th birthday. Beatrice is now 3 years old.

According to a source, if the deal goes through, Heather will get a lump sum of £15 million, and then an extra £3.5million every year until their daughter Beatrice, who’s 3, reaches her 18th birthday.

Included in the divorce documents is a clause, preventing either party from discussing the nature of their split to any media outlet, and so stopping Heather in particular from selling her story and pocketing a handsome sum.

He’s doing the movie anyway. Apparently, the arguments of the Germans fell on deaf ears. Their objections didn’t even cause a second’s delay in getting into production. It is currently in production in Germany and due to be released in 2008.

Jennifer Aniston has squashed any hopes of a ‘Friends’ reunion. She says she’ll never play Rachel Green again.

The Hollywood actress has scuppered chances of a TV special or movie version of the hit show by saying she isn’t interested in reprising her role.

According to a source:

“There have been whispers of a ‘Friends’ movie for a while now, especially with the ‘Sex and the City’ film finally getting the go-ahead.

“But it can’t happen without Jen and she thinks ‘Friends’ has had it’s time and she should move on with her film career.

“I think if they were given a chance the rest of the cast would probably go for it but Jen sees playing Rachel again - even in a film - as going back, not moving forward.

“She wants to earn respect as a movie actress in her own right and take on more serious roles to stretch her acting ability.”

Okay, I’m going to say it. I’m going to say what I’ve thought all along but hesitated to say because everyone seemed to think Jennifer Aniston had been horribly victimized by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. I don’t think Jennifer is all that. She’s certainly not pitiful, but she plays the part well.

I think Jennifer is shallow and self-centered. Okay. There. I said it.

I’ve never seen or heard about her saying or doing anything that wasn’t about herself. Not to mention, she always seems to be the victim. Yet, she’s one of the wealthiest and most powerful women in Hollywood. How is it that she ALWAYS is victimized?

Now she is thinking about her career at the expense of this opportunity for her costars. Apparently, she has forgotten that no one knew who Jennifer Aniston was prior to her role as Rachael Green in ‘Friends’.

I never saw her as the wholesome girl next door so many others seem to see her as.

And that’s all I have to say about that.

Writer and director, Alek Keshishian had Gwyneth Paltrow in mind to play Emily ‘Jacks’ Jackson in his new romantic comedy Love and Other Disasters. Her character was to be an assistant to the editor in chief of British Vogue. The problem is that it took Keshishian 10 years to complete the script.

“By the time I finished, [Paltrow] was pregnant,” Keshishian told Planet Gossip’s Matt Donnelly at last night’s Outfest premiere of the movie at the DGA Theatre Complex in West Hollywood. “So I thought, okay, you’re now officially too old to play this role.”

Is Paltrow, 34, really that long in the tooth? No, says Keshishian, but the slightly younger 29-year-old Murphy eventually got the part because the character “is meant to be a kind of young girl, before she figures out love.”

Ouch! That must have hurt! Not to worry about Gwyneth though. She has an appearance in the movie anyway and gets to have a hot, steamy love scene with Orlando Bloom. So she can’t have too much to complain about.

Jessica Simpson premiered her new swimsuit line at the Mercedes Benz Miami fashion week last Saturday. She and her mother, Tina (pictured with Jessica at the show below) were together for the event.

Jessica says she has something for everyone “from all-American girl to bohemian”. She has sexy bikinis to classy, sexy but modest one pieces.

She shares that she suffers from cellulite and “fat rolls,” and she’s hoping her range of beachwear will help women shed their body inhibitions and just have a good time.

Jessica says she hasn’t always been comfortable with her own body. “I was always the girl who wore sweat pants and baseball caps to not be intimidating. But now I’ve learned to embrace beauty as part of my career, as part of my inner soul, as part of who I am.” Who would have thought that when we are used to seeing her in skimpy, revealing outfits.

She tells MTV.com, “There’s always fun in a bathing suit. And you know that when people are buying a bathing suit, they’re buying it because they want to go do something to enjoy themselves, and that’s kind of where I’m at in my life.”

She continued, “(I’m) not afraid to celebrate a woman’s body. I do want to inspire people to fall in love with their body and be confident in who they are. I mean, I’ll show you that I have fat rolls. I have cellulite here and there, but I just want people to know that I’m a real person.”

Jessica is also launching a fragrance line in July of 2008. It looks like she’s on her way to building an empire.

These party girls are keeping law enforcement busy. The newest story is that Lindsay Lohan turned herself in yesterday afternoon in regards to the Memorial Day crash this year.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (July 20) - Lindsay Lohan , under arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence, has turned herself in to police in connection with a Memorial Day weekend car crash.

Accompanied by her attorney, the 21-year-old actress surrendered at the Beverly Hills Police Department shortly after 4 p.m. Thursday to be fingerprinted and photographed, Officer Brian Ballieweg said.

Lohan ’s blood-alcohol level at the time of the crash was above .08, California’s legal limit, said Ballieweg, who did not disclose how high it was. She is also under arrest on suspicion of misdemeanor hit and run, he said.

Lohan was released on her own recognizance. A court date was scheduled for August 24.

A message left early Friday with her publicist was not immediately returned.

The surrender was first reported by TV’s “The Insider.”

Lohan and two other adults were in her 2005 Mercedes SL-65 convertible when she lost control and crashed into a curb and shrubs on Sunset Boulevard on May 26, police said.

Lohan got into a second car and was driven to a hospital in nearby Century City for treatment of minor injuries, police said. The other people in her car were not hurt.
Officers received a 911 call about the accident and traced her to the hospital. Police said at the time she had been arrested for investigation of driving under the influence, though it wasn’t formal until Thursday.

Last week, Lohan checked out of a rehabilitation center after a stay of more than six weeks. It was her second stint in rehab this year. She said in January she had checked into rehab for substance abuse treatment.

I hope rehab helped her and that she’ll enjoy her celebrity status without endangering herself and others.
