World War II German War hero, Col. Claus von Strauffenberg and his co-conspirators, the German resistance, were executed for their attempt to assassinate Hitler. His son is none too happy that Tom Cruise is going to play his father in a movie now in production in Germany. Berliners aren’t happy about it either.

He’s doing the movie anyway. Apparently, the arguments of the Germans fell on deaf ears. Their objections didn’t even cause a second’s delay in getting into production. It is currently in production in Germany and due to be released in 2008.
